Zusammenfassung: Seit der Antike sind Pflanzenvergiftungen dokumentiert, trotzdem werden Intoxikationen mit pflanzlichen Giften im psychiatrischen Schrifttum wenig beachtet, und die Gefahr durch Giftpflanzen wird gemeinhin verkannt. In diesem Artikel wird diese Problematik erörtert. Es werden weiterhin entsprechende Empfehlungen zur Vermeidung von Pflanzenvergiftungen und zum allgemeinen Umgang mit deren Folgen gegebe
Van der Waals forces in density functional theory: perturbational long-range electron interaction corrections
Long-range exchange and correlation effects, responsible for the failure of
currently used approximate density functionals in describing van der Waals
forces, are taken into account explicitly after a separation of the
electron-electron interaction in the Hamiltonian into short- and long-range
components. We propose a "range-separated hybrid" functional based on a local
density approximation for the short-range exchange-correlation energy, combined
with a long-range exact exchange energy. Long-range correlation effects are
added by a second-order perturbational treatment. The resulting scheme is
general and is particularly well-adapted to describe van der Waals complexes,

Boundary and Coulomb Effects on Boson Systems in High-Energy Heavy-Ion Collisions
The boundary of a boson system plays an important role in determining the
momentum distribution of the bosons. For a boson system with a cylindrical
boundary, the momentum distribution is enhanced at high transverse momenta but
suppressed at low transverse momenta, relative to a Bose-Einstein distribution.
The boundary effects on systems of massless gluons and massive pions are
studied. For gluons in a quark-gluon plasma, the presence of the boundary may
modify the signals for the quark-gluon plasma. For pions in a pion system in
heavy-ion collisions, Coulomb final-state interactions with the nuclear
participants in the vicinity of the central rapidity region further modify the
momentum distribution at low transverse momenta. By including both the boundary
effect and the Coulomb final-state interactions we are able to account for the
behavior of the transverse momentum spectrum observed in many

Pricing Options in Incomplete Equity Markets via the Instantaneous Sharpe Ratio
We use a continuous version of the standard deviation premium principle for
pricing in incomplete equity markets by assuming that the investor issuing an
unhedgeable derivative security requires compensation for this risk in the form
of a pre-specified instantaneous Sharpe ratio. First, we apply our method to
price options on non-traded assets for which there is a traded asset that is
correlated to the non-traded asset. Our main contribution to this particular
problem is to show that our seller/buyer prices are the upper/lower good deal
bounds of Cochrane and Sa\'{a}-Requejo (2000) and of Bj\"{o}rk and Slinko
(2006) and to determine the analytical properties of these prices. Second, we
apply our method to price options in the presence of stochastic volatility. Our
main contribution to this problem is to show that the instantaneous Sharpe
ratio, an integral ingredient in our methodology, is the negative of the market
price of volatility risk, as defined in Fouque, Papanicolaou, and Sircar

Atomic Hydrogen and Star Formation in the Bridge/Ring Interacting Galaxy Pair NGC 7714/7715 (Arp 284)
We present high spatial resolution 21 cm HI maps of the interacting galaxy
pair NGC 7714/7715. We detect a massive (2 x 10**9 M(sun)) HI bridge connecting
the galaxies that is parallel to but offset from the stellar bridge. A chain of
HII regions traces the gaseous bridge, with H-alpha peaks near but not on the
HI maxima. An HI tidal tail is also detected to the east of the smaller galaxy
NGC 7715, similarly offset from a stellar tail. The strong partial stellar ring
on the eastern side of NGC 7714 has no HI counterpart, but on the opposite side
of NGC 7714 there is a 10**9 M(sun) HI loop 11 kpc in radius. Within the NGC
7714 disk, clumpy HI gas is observed associated with star formation regions.
Redshifted HI absorption is detected towards the starburst nucleus. We compare
the observed morphology and gas kinematics with gas dynamical models in which a
low-mass companion has an off-center prograde collision with the outer disk of
a larger galaxy. These simulations suggest that the bridge in NGC 7714/7715 is
a hybrid between bridges seen in systems like M51 and the purely gaseous
`splash' bridges found in ring galaxies like the Cartwheel. The offset between
the stars and gas in the bridge may be due to dissipative cloud-cloud

Current concepts in stereotactic radiosurgery - a neurosurgical and radiooncological point of view
Stereotactic radiosurgery is related to the history of "radiotherapy" and "stereotactic neurosurgery". The concepts for neurosurgeons and radiooncologists have been changed during the last decade and have also transformed neurosurgery. The gamma knife and the stereotactically modified linear accelerator (LINAC) are radiosurgical equipments to treat predetermined intracranial targets through the intact skull without damaging the surrounding normal brain tissue. These technical developments allow a more precise intracranial lesion control and offer even more conformal dose plans for irregularly shaped lesions. Histological determination by stereotactic biopsy remains the basis for any otherwise undefined intracranial lesion. As a minimal approach, it allows functional preservation, low risk and high sensitivity. Long-term results have been published for various indications. The impact of radiosurgery is presented for the management of gliomas, metastases, brain stem lesions, benign tumours and vascular malformations and selected functional disorders such as trigeminal neuralgia. In AVM's it can be performed as part of a multimodality strategy including resection or endovascular embolisation. Finally, the technological advances in radiation oncology as well as stereotactic neurosurgery have led to significant improvements in radiosurgical treatment opportunities. Novel indications are currently under investigation. The combination of both, the neurosurgical and the radiooncological expertise, will help to minimize the risk for the patient while achieving a greater treatment success

intrinsic source of frustration in anisotropic superconductors. A general

Association of Previous Measles Infection With Markers of Acute Infectious Disease Among 9- to 59-Month-Old Children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
BackgroundTransient immunosuppression and increased susceptibility to other infections after measles infection is well known, but recent studies have suggested the occurrence of an "immune amnesia" that could have long-term immunosuppressive effects.MethodsWe examined the association between past measles infection and acute episodes of fever, cough, and diarrhea among 2350 children aged 9 to 59 months whose mothers were selected for interview in the 2013-2014 Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Demographic and Health Survey (DHS). Classification of children who had had measles was completed using maternal recall and measles immunoglobulin G serostatus obtained via dried-blood-spot analysis with a multiplex immunoassay. The association with time since measles infection and fever, cough, and diarrhea outcomes was also examined.ResultsThe odds of fever in the previous 2 weeks were 1.80 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.25-2.60) among children for whom measles was reported compared to children with no history of measles. Measles vaccination demonstrated a protective association against selected clinical markers of acute infectious diseases.ConclusionOur results suggest that measles might have a long-term effect on selected clinical markers of acute infectious diseases among children aged 9 to 59 months in the DRC. These findings support the immune-amnesia hypothesis suggested by others and underscore the need for continued evaluation and improvement of the DRC's measles vaccination program
Equation of state for the 2+1 dimensional Gross-Neveu model at order 1/N
We calculate the equation of state of the Gross-Neveu model in 2+1 dimensions
at order 1/N, where N is the number of fermion species. We make use of a
general formula valid for four-fermion theories, previously applied to the
model in 1+1 dimensions. We consider both the discrete and continuous symmetry
versions of the model. We show that the pion-like excitations give the dominant
contribution at low temperatures. The range of validity for such pion dominance
is analyzed. The complete analysis from low to high temperatures also shows
that in the critical region the role of composite states is relevant, even for
quite large N, and that the free-component behaviour at high T starts at about

Coulomb effects in granular materials at not very low temperatures
We consider effects of Coulomb interaction in a granular normal metal at not
very low temperatures suppressing weak localization effects. In this limit
calculations with the initial electron Hamiltonian are reduced to integrations
over a phase variable with an effective action, which can be considered as a
bosonization for the granular metal. Conditions of the applicability of the
effective action are considered in detail and importance of winding numbers for
the phase variables is emphasized. Explicit calculations are carried out for
the conductivity and the tunneling density of states in the limits of large
and small tunnelling conductances. It is demonstrated for any
dimension of the array of the grains that at small the conductivity and the
tunnelling density of states decay with temperature exponentially. At large
the conductivity also decays with decreasing the temparature and its
temperature dependence is logarithmic independent of dimensionality and
presence of a magnetic field. The tunnelling density of states for is
anomalous in any dimension but the anomaly is stronger than logarithmic in low
dimensions and is similar to that for disordered systems. The formulae derived
are compared with existing experiments. The logarithmic behavior of the
conductivity at large obtained in our model can explain numerous
experiments on systems with a granular structure including some high
